PNB Heritage( PNB Dharohar) 2018-19, PNB HQ,Dwarka, Delhi Tender:Tender awarded by Punjab National Bank
Studio MESO, won a nationwide pitch to design a corporate and heritage museum for one of India’s second-largest PSU Banks, PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK in the year 2018. Located at the bank’s Headquarters in Dwarka in Delhi, PNB Heritage (PNB Dharohar) a landmark project marking the completion of 125 years of Punjab National Bank glorious history, present and future vision was conceptualized, designed and detailed by Studio MESO over last year.
A proud moment for our team and realization for Shri Sunil Mehta’s (MD, PNB) vision, the Corporate Museum was inaugurated by the Shri Anuraag Thakur, Minister of State for Finance, on 30th September 2019 at Punjab National Bank’s Head Quarter, located in Sector 10, Dwaraka, Delhi.
This museum portrays the historical narrative related to the events leading to the establishment of the Bank and working in the past years of its banking existence depicting Bank’s legacy, adoption of financial management as per the economic policy of the GOI, modernization of banking practices and the expansion of its horizons.
Spread across three floors/ Galleries namely Sanrachna, Sankalpa & Sampada. of 100sqm area each is a narrative through time. The inception of the concept has been the state of the art portrayal, modern and technology-driven to complement the existing world-class building architecture of the new PNB corporate head office. Marked by an iconic installation called” The Growing tree”, it is an embodiment of the bank’s pre-Independence origin, evolution and vastness of the 2nd largest National bank of our country.
The Growing tree or Tree of Progression forms an integral part of PNB Heritage Museum where it not only adds to the visual highlight but it also works as ‘Sutradhar’ in narration connecting all the three levels at the museum visually and conceptually.

REWARI STEAM CENTRE, National Rail Museum, New Delhi July 2014 Tender Awarded by RITES & National Rail Museum
This is a pioneering project with an initiative of the National Rail Museum, New Delhi, the purpose of the project was to develop a Master Plan for India’s first working museum dedicated to Steam Locomotives. A final Design proposal submitted to develop a Master Plan for major up gradation of existing working Steam Loco Shed at Rewari, Northern Railway into a modern, attractive and World Class Steam Centre as a Heritage Museum, Knowledge Centre and a functional Maintenance Depot of MG and BG Steam Locos.
Indian Railways have planned to develop Rewari Steam Centre as an important Tourist destination for Steam Rail Heritage, showcasing working full size Steam Locos of different types and makes and other related exhibits creating an environment of Steam Heritage. A Project Commissioned by National Rail Museum & RITES. This was done in collaboration with Aishwarya Tipnis Architects.
The work involved the preparation of measured drawings, condition assessment, development of design proposals (architectural, interior, way finding, museum layout and landscaping) as well as good for construction drawings as part of the masterplan was completed in October 2014
